Grants are given to organizations for the purpose of their expansion and enhancement so that they in turn can continue to help provide small businesses with management, technical or financial assistance.

The SBA does not provide government grants for small businesses. Grants offered by the SBA are generally provided through non-profit organization helping small business, intermediary lending institutions, state and local governments. It is important to keep in mind business grants are not geared towards starting or expanding a small business.
