The main federal agency in charge of funding american small business is the Small Business Administration (SBA). It's was created with the mandate to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small businesses. The SBA services Americans throughout the United States with offices in all major cities. It is equipped with an extensive network of field offices and partnerships from both public and private organizations. Small business loans are one way in which the SBA assists small businesses. Simply remember the SBA itself does not offer the loans but is rather a guarantor of loans offer by other institutions. The SBA doesn't offer too many grants where a small business receives money without any obligation. More interesting is that SBA's business loans offer very lower interest and/or collateral or guarantees when commercial banks aren't willing to provide business loans to individuals and companies. If you are looking for an alternative to a regular commercial loans or simply for a loan to start or expand your business the SBA may very well have a solution for you. |
