Each state manages two different energy grant programs. The first one is named weatherization and the second is called the low income energy assistance program (LIHEAP). In certain situations home improvement grants are necessary to attain complete energy efficiency.

Weatherization assistance helps low income families to permanently reduce their energy cost by making their house more energy efficient. The great thing about this program is it helps reduce your energy bill month after month enabling you to save money year after year. On average your energy bill will be reduced by 31%. In order to have more information on eligible weatherization projects in your community you need to contact your State office below.
